John Woo’s Hong Kong films of the Nineties are legendary, and with good reason. A great example of his style is this excellent shootout in a Hong Kong teahouse. It’s a sting operation set amidst the tranquility of patrons sipping tea as they gaze at pet birds in cages. Soon, the serenity gives way to mayhem, showers of gunfire and blood. I prefer The Killer over this film, but both are must-see classics for action fans.
