Say what you like about the final quarter of Danny Boyle’s Sunshine, but the cool design of the Icarus II isn’t part of the problem. In my eyes, it’s downright beautiful, if only for attempting to look half-way feasible. This is the sort of ship NASA might design to shield astronauts from the Sun’s radiation. The interior space is equally cool, right down to the nifty bake-a-human room. Wait, why is there a bake-a-human room?
There are many vehicles to enjoy in the TRON films, but it’s tough to argue against the appeal of light cycles. They’re fast, sleek, and produce a deadly wall of energy. What’s not to like? Highly recommended for the Jeff Bridges in all of us.
